Service Entitlement Capability
at the 2011 Billing/OSS Live Conference
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (June 9, 2011) – RevX introduces the RevX Policy Manager to provide policy and service entitlement solutions to enhance dynamic real time services.
RevX Policy Manager enables communications, media and cloud-based service providers to deploy and adjust network and consumption policies for new business models. Policy Manager works hand in hand with the RevX Data Mediation and Rating engine enabling service providers to create and deliver innovative and value-added services.
RevX Policy Manager allows parameters to be set on a per-subscriber basis around content and service availability; such as time of day, type or amount of content or service, or blocking of content, applications or websites. This capability enables a service provider to tailor customer-oriented solutions while enabling subscribers to better control the availability of “any content, at any time.”
- Service and Policy definition - delivers consumer-led service and policy definition, whereby consumers can request a service they would like to use with specific constraints and capabilities (policy), and the service provider has the capability to properly fulfill their request.
- Enhance the Subscriber Experience - empower consumers to personalize services and applications through subscriber-centric policy controls.
- Tiered Service Offerings - can be provided at various price points based on bandwidth allotments with plans set to various bandwidth maximums. This enables service providers to move away from flat-rate pricing plans and attract a broader subscriber segment, providing the ability to charge more for more personalized, premium services or less for lower value services.
- Subscriber Segmentation - capture active session activity and apply various policy rules in real-time. This information can be used internally or shared with 3rd party partners to segment their subscriber base for targeted, real-time promotions and differentiated services.
