The customer

Cellular cameras that watch the land while you're away

Strike Force Wireless makes cellular trail cameras, motion-triggered cameras that hunters, land managers, and property owners place in remote spots to watch wildlife and monitor their land. Instead of hiking in to pull an SD card, the customer gets photos sent straight to their phone the moment something moves.

That only works because the camera carries a cellular connection. A trail camera without a data plan is just a camera on a tree; the connectivity is what turns it into a product people pay for month after month. Every camera in the field needs an active plan, and every plan is a recurring relationship with a customer.

The challenge

Thousands of cameras, thousands of subscribers, one activation moment that has to be effortless

Selling a cellular trail camera isn't like selling a regular one. The customer doesn't want to visit a carrier store, buy a separate SIM, or add the camera to their phone plan. They want to unbox it, open an app, pick a data plan, and be up and running, in minutes, often standing in a field with the camera in one hand.

Behind that simple moment sits a real operation. To deliver it at scale, Strike Force Wireless needed to:

  • Activate instantly, in the app. Provision connectivity and start a subscription the moment a customer chooses a plan, with no manual steps.
  • Bill a large base of subscribers. Charge each customer for their plan every month, handle tiered plans by image volume, and support seasonal users who pause and resume.
  • Take payment reliably. Process cards, retry failures, and suspend or reactivate service automatically.
  • Do it as a camera company. Strike Force Wireless builds cameras. It didn't want to become a telecom operator or a billing shop to sell them.

The hard part was never the camera. It was the platform behind the camera, and getting it wrong would mean friction at activation, revenue leaking through failed or missed billing, and an operation that couldn't keep up with growth.

Why RevX

A scalable, integrated activation platform

Strike Force Wireless put activation, multi-carrier connectivity, billing, subscriber management, and payments on RevX, one integrated platform instead of a stack of separate systems wired together.

  • Seamless activation. When a customer selects a plan in the app, RevX provisions the connectivity and starts the subscription in one automated flow, so turning on a camera takes minutes.
  • Connectivity management. RevX manages SIMs, devices, and carrier services across a wide range of carriers, with usage monitoring and the flexibility to use their own carrier contracts.
  • Subscription billing. Tiered and usage-based plans, recurring charges, and pauses and resumes are all handled automatically, so a growing subscriber base doesn't create a growing back office.
  • Integrated payments. PCI-compliant payment processing, retries, dunning, and automatic suspension for non-payment run without manual effort.
  • Self-service. A branded portal lets customers manage their own cameras, plans, and payments, keeping support load down as the base grows.
  • Reporting. Visibility to daily and monthly sales, operations, and financial activity.
“RevX provides a scalable, integrated, seamless activation platform for cellular trail camera billing, subscriber management, and payment processing.”

The outcome

A camera company with a subscription business running underneath

With RevX handling activation, connectivity, billing, and payments, Strike Force Wireless turned every camera it sells into an ongoing subscriber relationship, and kept the activation experience simple enough that a customer can start service from the field in minutes. The recurring revenue compounds with every camera deployed, while the team stays focused on building cameras rather than running a billing operation.

It's the outcome every connected-hardware company is after: a product customers love, a subscription business that grows with the install base, and none of the telecom overhead that would normally come with it.
